About us

In brief, Jo and Sarah are:

  • Qualified, 500-hour Senior Teachers trained by the British Wheel of Yoga, the official governing body for England recognised by Sport England
  • Accomplished yoga practitioners, with over 50 years of experience between us!
  • Passionate about reducing stress, increasing flexibility and boosting happiness.
  • Certain that regular yoga practice can prevent age-related aches and pains.

Our story…

When we say that yoga can take away every-day aches and pains, we’re speaking from experience. 

Jo has been practicing yoga on and off for around 25 years.  During that time, she had two children with only 18 months between them.  As she grappled with the demands of motherhood, she let her yoga practice slip.  She began to have significant problems with her hips.  Sometimes this got so bad, it stopped her from walking.

After joining a gym in her thirties, Sarah’s focus was training for half marathons and sprint triathlons, but by her forties, she was sustaining injuries.  Like Jo, she had a great deal of pain in her hips. Her challenging working environment put her under pressure and she experienced continuous shoulder pain. 

Both decided to commit to regular yoga and after a few months of sustained practice, their shoulder and hip pain was gone.  They also felt more able to balance the challenges of working life.

We both know that yoga is about so much more than stretching. It’s true that, through the practice of yoga, balance, strength and flexibility will improve. But more importantly, yoga teaches us to let go of tension. This helps us to feel better physically and mentally. We can respond better to stress, learn to relax, and sleep more soundly.

So it’s now our mission to bring all the benefits of yoga to more people in Salisbury who are just like us!
